Intel and AMD MOTHERBORDS
One of the goals of both Intel and AMD is to include integrated graphics on the CPU mainstream and value segments of the market ASAP. This will allow them to sell computers as complete systems without the need for another chip on the motherboard, decreasing costs on the overall system. Intel has gone the route of including integrated graphics on their Core i5 and i3 CPUs called the GMA HD or Graphics Media Accelerator High Definition. AS Rock has made many motherboards based upon all of the chipset manufacturers including AMD, NVIDIA, Intel and Via. They are a company known for their experimentation with different technologies that were not designed to work together such as PCI Express slots with AGP on the same motherboard. Today’s review is on the ASROCK H55M-LE motherboard that has its own special features in the form of support for Creative Labs’ X-Fi software and Turbo 50 which I will cover later in the review.
